This red brick house, with concrete tiled roof, old fashioned sills and exposed rafters has heaps of character and colour inside. Designed by Jane, it has a 18m long, 6.5m wide open plan living, dining and kitchen area with gorgeous Rimu flooring. Carpeted areas are also edged in Rimu.

Picture rails, dado rails, architraves and deep skirting throughout are painted with rich golds and deep reds. Exposed timber trusses create a cathedral style ceiling in the living area which boasts two window seats and huge timber shutters at the tall windows.

Bi-fold windows and door open out onto natural stone patios and pool area, with an outdoor granite bench joining the kitchen bench of an old-fashioned English kitchen on the inside.

A colonial balustrade with Rimu bannister leads the way up a panelled staircase with fitted bookcases below. Bathrooms have tongue and groove paneling and even the laundry has an abundance of character.
